This surgery has gone through some key staff changes and I think that this has caused issues with continuation of understanding with members of my families ongoing treatment, one of the new Dr's is not very clear to verbally understand and vise versa when speaking, even more so on phone appointments with them they do not clearly understand points and concerns being made, I believe this has a knock on to how they handle issues presented so raise this as a concern. Also had lots of run ins with the Pharmacy side with missed items, short date prescriptions and not following NHS guidelines on some items issue and having to complain to get things finally sorted is not a solution that is comfortable to us, like most GP run pharmacy it seems profit over service is the response.

I am writing to thank you for the efficient curtious way that you have recently helped my son. who arrived on vacation from New Zealand. Unfortunately when arriving in transit at Dubai he had his medications seized by customs ,they not being allowed into their country information not given to him by his travel agent even though he had asked them on this matter. At the Gosberton Surgery he was met with understanding and kindness ,and with efficiency his medications were provided alleviating what could have been a serious problem for his health and wellbeing. Thank you to the receptionist, the pharmacy staff and all at the practice.

Good Afternoon, Over the year i have contacted the medical centre twice both times have been extremely negative. I have been at this surgery my entire life and today i have registered elsewhere. The receptionist was rude, talked over me and gave me no chance to explain. I gave my name and address when i spoke with her and then Kathy asked rather venomously it again after not listening the first time. I do feel she realized that her tone was unpleasant but offered no apology. Today i asked a simple question about blood and i was told to go the hospital and pay. Today at my work location we had an emergency a guest that required blood, i simply asked if they new my blood type as i have had blood taken there before. I was trying to help to save someones life to only be meet with abrupt, rudeness not giving me chance to explain. Kathy stated she had been at the surgery 12 years so she knows but i do feel she needs more training especially showing empathy in such a role. I am very disappointed to be leaving when i have received great care with Dr Wiscome and Nurse Sarah. i thank them for the help over the past 30 years.

After being with the surgery my entire life today I registered elsewhere. After calling reception I was treated very unfairly. Staff was rude not even offering for a call back list, talking over me so I could not explain. Offering false advice saying I would be dealt with quickly then spoke to the Dr after calling back at a time convenient for them. After speaking to the Dr I believe leaving the practice the end of May, he told me to go private and not willing to help. Does anyone have a spare 5 thousand when I pay taxes and UK citizen? exactly not the every day person. Spite not even asking for mediation just a provisional appointment with a specialist after 1 year of suffering and taking many many other routes before asking to see a see a specialist is disgusting. I'm outraged to be treated with such little care and consideration. Spite the condition being in my family history to be told to go private was the last straw when I've very clearly distressed and need help that's why I called. No words can comprehend how disgusted and angry I am. if you want to be treated fairly with modesty, integrity and respect do no attend this surgery. I now travel over 30 minutes to get to a surgery.

Response from Gosberton Medical Centre

Thank you for leaving your feedback of your experience with the Practice. You refer to speaking with a Doctor "leaving the Practice at the end of May. The only Doctor we have had leave the Practice, left at the end of March 2017. We have not had the opportunity of speaking with you as to your concerns as they have not been previously been made aware to us formally or otherwise. We take all feedback, positive and negative, very seriously so we can learn from it to either ensure we can maintain good service or improve poor service. If you would like to discuss your issues with the Practice Manager so we can investigate your concerns, please contact Simon Walsh on 01775 840204.
